There's another sketch challenge up at Let's Get Sketchy!! You can find the information and additional inspiration HERE. Let's Get Sketchy has also extended the amount of time to complete your layouts... find that info HERE.
Here's the sketch:
And here's my take on the sketch:
I used the adorable August Moon collection from Ruby Rock-It for this layout. The colors, papers, and embellishments are just fantastic!!
Hope to see you playing along at LET'S GET SKETCHY!!!
I've not been much of a card maker until recently. I always had a hard time with them. However, I've been getting the hang of them :)
Let's Get Sketchy is having an extra challenge this week!! You've gotta love those extra challenges to make your creative juices start flowing. Well, the extra challenge is (yep, you guessed it...) a card challenge. But not any kind of challenge... it's a Kenny K Card challenge. Kenny K is a digital stamp artist and we got to play along with his designs this week.
So, the only challenge is to use a Kenny K digital stamp image (free or not) on a card and VOILA!
It's a new week and a new challenge over at Let's Get Sketchy :) I just love this challenge site and love designing for them.
Here is this week's sketch:
And here is my take on the sketch:
This picture was taken in Chicago of my sister... we all dressed up to go see Beauty and the Beast The Musical. It was such a great time!!
Love these Prima chipboard pieces!
And you've gotta love the Pink Paislee wooden chipboard alphas (I inked them brown to match). I also used some stickles on that cute little bird tag.
This layout was done using the February kit over at C'est Magnifique Kits. These kits focus solely on International papers that you just can not find here in the US besides her club :) I just love these papers!!
Are you ready?? LGS is doing it again!! Today starts this week's challenge. Last week we had just under 40 entries! That is absolutely amazing... I'd love to see you play along, too :) Check it out HERE.
Here is the sketch for this week:
And here's my take on it with some close ups of the good stuff:
I used my fabulous monthly kit over at C'est Magnifique Kit Club to create this layout. These papers were straight from Denmark I believe... aren't they beautiful?? I absolutely loved the deer on the papers and just couldn't cover them up, so I moved the sketch around a little bit and made the layout fairly simple to make the photo and the deer on the paper the focus.
Thanks for checking out my blog today!! See you back soon!!
Ruby Rock-It has some amazing news!! Ruby Rock-It, the Bella! brand, and the Fundamentals Cardmaking brand are merging!
Here is what Ruby Rock-It explained the merger:
We are thrilled to finally merge all of our great brands together in
one place. We’ve had a lot of questions about who is Fynmark in
relation to our old Facebook page. We thought it was time to clear up
any confusion. Fynmark is the trading company that distributes our three brands,
Ruby Rock-it Designs, BELLA! and Fundamentals out to stores. They
manage the logistics and make sure you get to see all the great ranges
out in your stores. However you all know either Ruby Rock-it, BELLA!
or Fundamentals depending on what you have purchased in the past.
Our designers at Ruby Rock-it focus on vintage styling with interesting embellishments that create a lot of interest. Our BELLA! designers focus on our wedding and everyday scrapbooking
product, eg. paper pads, glitter cardstock and general use items. Fundamentals products focus solely on cardmaking: cardstock,
envelopes, vellum, card kits, 3D decoupage and teeny tiny stickers and
embellishments – we like to call it cardmaking for connoisseurs!
we hope that clears up any confusion you all had - we’re all one big
happy family under the Fynmark umbrella and we love creating new
products for you to play with. We’re excited you’ve continued to support
us, follow us and cheer us on. You are going to love the inspiration
our fabulous team has planned for you. We live by our motto: “Scrapping is love made visible!” and look forward to helping you do the same. HUGE thanks to our Australian team who has been doing a fabulous job on the Bella! Blog via Fynmark and the Facebook page. We will all now come together here on this blog, in one place, so
please update your bookmarks so you don't miss any updates, contests,
etc. And don't forget to 'like' us on our Facebook page, you will not
want to miss a thing!
Our Facebook Page is here: Ruby Rock-It, Bella! Fundamentals When we get to 500 likes we will give a prize away and then again at 1000 likes. (That means go like them on facebook for a chance to win!!)
With the news of our merge also comes the news of a promotion: We are pleased to announce the promotion of Rachel Carlson to the
position of Marketing Director USA for Ruby Rock-it Designs, BELLA! and
Fundamentals Cardmaking. Rachel joined our company 6 months ago as a
Communications and Social Media Manager. She has held various
positions in the papercraft industry and is well known to many.
this new position Rachel will be in charge of all marketing
communications and activity in the USA. She will be responsible for
researching and developing new market opportunities including various
promotional programs with media and our sales team. She will manage the
company Facebook and Blog and be the main point of contact in the USA
for all product information and promotion. Rachel can be contacted by email: firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks to the Ruby Rock-It, Bella! Fundamentals family for this great
opportunity as I continue to bring you all the best that our company
has to offer. Please continue to watch the blog for another announcement this
weekend as I work to bring you a design team call for Australia/New
Zealand. That's right, you heard it here, we're adding to our team!! We
already have an amazing team and adding to it will just make it all the
more inspiring and creative. We are going to shake things up a bit and
we are so happy that you have joined us in this new adventure. Thanks again for your continued support as we embark on our new journey.
Thanks for stopping by today to learn a little bit more about Ruby Rock-It :) Have a great Friday!!
